Ana Nuñez Brilanti, known to collectors of Mexican silver as Victoria, Established a small workshop in Taxco in 1940s. Much of her work is influenced by pre-Columbian art, although she also create some highly individualistic modern designs. Brilanti is credited with introducing the married metals or ( metales casados ) in Taxco and was strong proponent in establishing the Eagle mark system in 1948 as a guarantee of quality. In the early 1950’s, her daughter and son in law opened the “Cony ” shop that retailed her jewelry and tableware
